The U.S. stock indexes closed the month lower

European stock futures are lower today as investors are worried about the global economic outlook. The DAX futures are 0.9% lower, the CAC 40 futures dropped 0.7%, and the FTSE 100 futures fell 0.5%.

The U.S. dollar is higher today near the highs of the year. The Dollar index traded 0.2% higher today at 104.688.

Wall Street closed the session on Thursday with three major indexes in the red. The S&P 500 lost 0.85%, the Nasdaq Composite lost 1.31%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.71%.

Oil prices fell today as recession fears signal lower demand. Brent crude futures were down 0.4%, and WTI crude futures slid 0.6%.
